Natasha & Patrick's Floral Countryside Wedding

Updated: Feb 19, 2019

Today's post os about a goregous real wedding that was featured on Whimsical Wonderland Wedding. The main themes in this wedding, located the Staffordshire countryside, were family and flowers, and some sequins for good measure. Natasha & Patrick are very close friends so when she asked me to do her wedding stationery I couldn’t wait to get started.

There were 3 locations for this wedding, the village church where Natasha grew up, beautiful gardens just outside the church and then their reception at Alrewas Hayes. It was important for them to get married somewhere close to Natasha’s family, in particular her grandparents, who they are incredibly close to. Natasha wanted  the day to be relaxed and informal, with lots of family and friends, flower crowns and greenery. This gave us a good starting point for the stationery. Pink would be a prominent colour through the flower arrangements and peonies would feature in her bouquet, this along with a more relaxed cursive font would tie into the feel of the day.

It was the details from family and friends that made the day so special. There were signs with special quotes on throughout the walled garden, wooden love spoons to tie in with her grandfather’s welsh heritage, her mum made signs, personalised napkins, wrote the order of service, and her mother in law made some of the canapés and the cake! Oh and how can you forget the main event - they had bride and groom llamas!
